A romantic tale that transports you into a time when Queens ruled with dragons by their side in a world of magic. This story has suspense, action, and sensuous romance.
Alana, a maiden born to be the mate of a Scottish dragon finds herself claimed by a murderous red dragon who is in alliance with Queen Elizabeth; the Queen who wants all Scottish dragons and maidens abolished. Lord Kendrick the red dragon brings Alana to his home and plans to wed her against her will. James is a servant of Lord Kendrick and befriends Alana. James needs Alana's help to rid the world of the red dragon.
This is a fast-paced well-written story that hooks you with the intriguing plot, vivid powerful scene descriptions, and witty dialogue. James and Alana are wonderful characters and their romance is steamy and filled with much passion. I enjoyed this historical twist on dragon shifters; a most entertaining read. If you enjoy historical shifter romance this is a great book for your library. {This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy}. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

A tale of magic and maidens and overcoming evil personified.
The author departs from 'usual' dragon fare with this well-told story. The concepts are fresh and exciting. It makes me crave more of the world she envisions. The hero is big and bold; the heroine is strong and brave, yet innocent. Finding and following the hero she needs is quite an adventure. Her story is sure to warm the cockles of your heart!
