Publisher Description
In 2065, governments don't lead — corporations do.
And their race for dominance is fueled by cybernetics, genetic engineering, and soldiers built in labs instead of born in homes.
Bullets are relics.
Missiles are outdated.
War now belongs to the augmented.
Calder McKenna was supposed to be one of them — a groundbreaking military experiment designed to create the perfect weapon.
Instead, he became a failure the moment he showed too much humanity.
Now a special agent with the Metro Task Force, Calder survives on grit, instinct, and the quiet hope that he can outrun the ghosts of the soldiers who didn't make it.
The ones he couldn't save.
But when a new wave of biotech hits the streets — unstable, lethal, and disturbingly familiar — Calder is dragged back into the world that tried to destroy him.
Because someone is resurrecting the project that made him.
And they're willing to burn the world to finish what they started.
When technology decides who you are, how do you fight the parts of yourself that were engineered to obey?
The Alpha Core Saga begins here: a high-tech dystopian thriller about survival, identity, and the cost of rewriting the human body.
Customer Reviews
Interesting and exciting
Calder had an augmentation in his head when he was in the military but he thought it didn’t work. Now someone sent him a jump drive and he loaded something unknown and scary into his brain and he went on the run. His partner Sierra was looking for him and then all heck broke loose. Evil companies, abusive boyfriends, deadly deals and a slow love with a cliff hanger in this interesting and exciting story.
