ENG 9: Express Yourself

In this project we will look at expressing ourselves in a variety of ways, for a variety of purposes. First, we will look at the ways language is used in songs and stories. Then you will have an opportunity to play around with language in your own way.  Language can be fun, so have fun with it!


Express Yourself is a Project Based Learning Unit aligned to the Common Core State Standards. In this unit, you will:

Explore how to use vocabulary to better express yourself
Analyze figurative language
Examine how language can be used to express ideas
