Rejecting Milton's theological vision of Paradise Lost, Ken Kaye takes only one Biblical assertion literally: that Adam lived 930 years. His "memoir" is both a love story--assuming that Eve's life was almost as long, and every bit as productive--and a fantastic account of the mental and social life of Homo sapiens if four million years of evolution were compressed into those nine centuries.
