Could be worse.
Story is told from too many perspectives. Some characters are so twisted that they feel second rate, even as villains. The actual villain is sub-par. Main character has about as much page time as the “side characters”. It is, however, very well written. Author makes sure that when the MC does get page time that his emotions are understandable, and relatable. If you’re this far into the series, no reason to stop. If you’re new. I wouldn’t bother.
