After casting his spell over Australia, Arez Smythe fled to live with his biological family and avoid undoing his magic. He’s finally given permission to recover from the war, and make a life worth living.

Yet Arez can’t fight the ever-increasing certainty that he cast the wrong spell. The more he’s faced with the consequences of his magic, the more he comes to believe he must redeem himself by fixing it.

So Arez starts a new plan, involving New York City, a music career, and a cover as a regular Manhattan brat at an elite college.

At the start of his fall semester at New York University, a group of Australian exchange students arrive, disrupting the careful balance of Arez’s life. Worst of all, his long-term frenemy Nova Jalanis is among them, trying to get close to Arez again. Arez can’t figure out how to deal with how good Nova’s face or personality are, in such a way that makes even New York look marginally okay.

But Arez is committed to his new plan, no matter how far he falls to make it happen…

Fall is a direct continuation of Silent, the first novel in the Silent Trilogy. It could potentially make sense without having read it, but not with the intended impact.
