Publisher Description
Psychotherapist Kate Huntington returns to the work she loves only to face a series of disturbing events: anonymous and vaguely threatening notes, a malpractice suit for allegedly planting false memories in a client’s head, and when a party involved in the lawsuit turns up dead, Kate becomes a murder suspect. There is one bright note; she’s falling in love. Now if she could just get the ghost of her dead husband out of her head.
Her friend, Rob Franklin, has his misgivings about her too-handsome-to-be-trusted suitor. But when the note-sender ups the ante, threatening to “destroy” Kate’s family, the two men must work together to support the woman they both love and help her stop a killer... before that killer comes after Kate’s baby girl.
(All books in this series are designed to be read and enjoyed as stand-alones as well.)

Interesting book
I would never want Kate’s job working with people with repressed memories. The addition of someone threatening her family made it difficult to read at times. You definitely need to read this book to even begin to understand.
Family Fallacies
I have mixed feelings about this story. On one hand, the action parts were good and kept me turning pages. On the other hand, I felt there was perhaps too much of the story devoted to Kate and Skip and their personal/emotional issues. Maybe this is just a gender thing?
Men like action, more than romance, in a murder mystery?
Overall though, the book was well written. I enjoyed it. The ending, as in previous books in this series, came out of left field! I wasn't ready for that. Ms. Lamb continues to present good stories with these quite unusual endings.
Now that I am very familiar with the primary characters, I am looking forward to the next book in this really good series. RET. LT.
