Publisher Description

In July 2026 archaeologists discover the tomb of the legendary Queen Boudicca at a site off the Fosse Way north of Leicester in England.

Around two hundred years later in the same location a young man finds himself drawn into Druidic mysteries and a desperate fight for survival against an alien invasion force. He meets and falls in love with a fearsome female wolf-warrior.

The two stories unfold in parallel as the archaeologists race to complete the excavation following a massive tsunami. A local group of neo-Druids seize Boudicca's remains and make off with the treasure. The archaeologists discover another corpse in the tomb and more treasure.

The future world has reverted to an Iron age Celtic society, governed by warlords and The Brotherhood, an organised form of Druidism.

What is the identity of the second corpse in the tomb? Will the people in the future repulse the invaders? And what is the mystery of Fernemeton?
