Ummm
It’s a nice enough book and it really started off well and then the dialogue and Ashton was a little too. It’s really hard to explain, but I probably won’t be reading any of the others. It just doesn’t have that snap that I normally enjoy in this type of book And it’s more of a 3 1/2 than a full four stars.

Mac is the oldest Donovan sibling. FBI, where the others went the route of PD. Lizzy is a language's expert that translates for numerous places, including acting as interpreter at the hospital. After one such late night interpreting at the hospital, she witnesses a murder.
The victim was an FBI agent. When Mac's only witness decides to ghost on them before sitting with a sketch artist, he becomes obsessed not only with her as a witness, but as a woman.
Both lead characters were strong and smart in their own rights. She was wary due to past poor experience with law enforcement, but it made her come off as unfairly judgemental. He was unsure if he could trust his gut when lower parts of his anatomy seemed to be leading the investigation. Their chemistry was magnetic, but he liked to be rather pushy and persuasive. It was a little off-putting at times. The secondary characters provided strength in their roles. Dialogue and cast interaction were believable. The plot was dynamic and full of energy. The writing flowed smoothly.
A critical error at 42%, on Mac's end (whether intentional on the author's end or not, I don't know), could have ended everything but apparently, it went unnoticed by the hyper-vigilant Beth. Once back in Chicago, nothing further was mentioned about the findings in her apartment. One would think, at the very least, she'd have some questions to answer pertaining to the "incriminating evidence".
Very little predictability for me. The conclusion was satisfying enough with an implied attempt at an HEA, however, nothing solid was provided to back that assumption.
Overall, it was another well-written, exciting book to the series.

Boring
Just kinda boring, skimmed alot of pages trying to get to the final action and it was pretty lame. Didn’t even finish it after that.
