Publisher Description
This is no ordinary missions book. The theme isn't new, but the approach is refreshing and compelling, as contributors David Platt, Louie Giglio, Michael Ramsden, Ed Stetzer, Michael Oh, David Mathis, and John Piper take up the mantle of the Great Commission and its Spirit-powered completion.
From astronomy to exegesis, from apologetics to the Global South, from being missional at home to employing our resources in the global cause, Finish the Mission aims to breathe fresh missionary fire into a new generation, as together we seek to reach the unreached and engage the unengaged.

Great read!
This is a book every Christian should read. It will reawaken a desire to be a part of what God is doing in the world and to take action in helping fulfill the great commission. It inspires a missional mindset in every person who has a heart for God.
More about his (Piper) personal doctrine (Calvinism) than missions
As a student of missions, I was looking for something to supplement my studies. While this book starts off in correct form (about missions), it then quickly dives into pushing personal doctrinal beliefs. Regardless if one finds Piper's doctrine (Calvinism), to be a false doctrine, that shouldn't be pushed or peddled here. I bought this book to learn more about missions, not to be deceived into reading about some cloaked doctrine. I tried ignoring these interjections, but as the book went on they just seem to consume the text. It's for this reason: that I do NOT recommend this book if you are considering it for missions or anything biblically related.
