Fire Chief Dallas W. Greene, Jr‪.‬

He fell in love with the Shreveport Fire Department as a teenager riding out on Engine #6 as a department fire buff, by the time he would complete his dedicated 47 plus years he would shape a NW Louisiana Fire Department into one of the premier regional departments. His efforts in building a modern department would be the foundation for which the Shreveport Fire Departments since 1998 holds the distinction of being one of the few ISO #1 rated departments in the United States. Now Shreveport Fire Department's newest and most modern Central Fire Station bares his name for all citizens to remember his all most five decades of selfless commitment to save lives and protect property.
