Publisher Description
Bestselling author Cara Putman returns with a romantic legal thriller that will challenge the assumptions of truth tellers everywhere.
Savannah Daniels has worked hard to build her law practice, to surround herself with good friends, and to be the loyal aunt her troubled niece can always count on. But since her ex-husband’s betrayal, she has trouble trusting anyone.
Jett Glover’s father committed suicide over a false newspaper report that ruined his reputation. Now a fierce champion of truth, Jett is writing the story of his journalism career—an international sex-trafficking exposé that will bring down a celebrity baseball player and the men closest to him, including Savannah’s ex-husband.
When Jett’s story breaks, tragedy ensues. Then a commercial airline crashes, and one of Savannah’s clients is implicated in the crash. Men connected to the scandal, including her ex, begin to die amid mysterious circumstances, and Savannah’s niece becomes an unwitting target.
Against their better instincts, Jett and Savannah join ranks to sort the facts from fiction. But can Savannah trust the reporter who threw her life into chaos? And can Jett face the possibility that he’s made the biggest mistake of his life?
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Putman (the Hidden Justice series) delivers a whirlwind of controversy, secrets, and murder in this stand-alone romantic suspense novel. Investigative reporter Jett Glover publishes an in-depth expos implicating popular baseball player Logan Donnelly and a group of his friends in a sex-trafficking scandal in Thailand. While searching for the names of others involved, Jett begins getting calls from an anonymous source telling him there's more to the story. Meanwhile attorney Savannah Daniels, the ex-wife of Dustin Tate, one of Donnelly's friends allegedly involved in the trafficking scandal, promises Dustin's daughter Addy that she'll get to the truth while simultaneously investigating the connection between one of her clients and a deadly plane crash. And a mysterious third party, enraged by Jett's article, has decided to take justice into their own hands by going after Donnelly and friends. As the various threads converge, Jett and Savannah take comfort in one another. The chaste, slow-burning romance is almost an afterthought, but the mystery is fast-paced and twisty. This multifaceted thriller will keep readers turning pages.

Exciting from start to finish
Flight Risk is about Savannah Daniels, a tough attorney who has too much on her plate — a law practice, a drug-addicted sister who takes advantage of her at every opportunity, and a teenage niece in need of a loving and responsible care giver. When Savannah is questioned by reporter Jett Glover about illicit activities of her ex-husband, Savannah is unconcerned. The marriage has been over for 15 years, so it’s not her business. But when the story breaks, and then a plane crashes, and then there are other mysterious deaths, all of which involve people mentioned in the article, Savannah and Jett both wonder if there was more to the story than anyone knew — and if they can piece together the truth before the killer finishes the job.
I found Flight Risk to be full of action, emotion, and excitement. Savannah was likable, and I could empathize with her as she struggled to maintain relationships under difficult circumstances. I also enjoyed Jett’s character as he is emotionally open and honest and protective. The story moved at good pace and kept me interested. Overall, I really enjoyed Flight Risk and look forward to checking out more books by Cara Putman.

Flight Risk
FLIGHT RISK....Cara Putman
A phone call caused a distraction for Savannah, a reporter wanting to interview her about her ex husband she has had nothing to do with in fifteen years. He didn’t except the no but came to the office. A handshake the effect as did his blue eyes. Four men making quarterly trips to Thailand ,they take other for activities that are illegal, even the pilot is in it. They are living the
high life. Did she know the name of the fourth, what about her niece that was special to her . A newspaper front page article that rang true, she had to warn her niece. The kids had told her,. The reporter still looking for the fourth,
no one is giving him a name. A story that made from front page, is it based
on facts...The author’s legal background.added richly to this story, and gives one to ponder. Well written, good cast of characters to the end.
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion by Thomas Nelson and Net Galley.
FILTERING FACT FROM FICTION!
Cara Putnam’s latest release, FLIGHT RISK, has her two main characters desperately filtering fact from fiction. Savannah Daniels has done her due diligence to build her law practice, surround herself with a strong community of friends and do everything she can to help her troubled niece. Betrayal by her ex-husband has left her trusting no one. Jett Glover is a reporter dedicated to reporting the truth. The truth matters to him because his father was the victim of a false newspaper report that ruined his reputation and led him to commit suicide.
Glover uncovers a story of the darkest kind - an international sex-trafficking ring that includes a celebrity baseball player and several of his close associates, including Savannah’s ex. From this point in the story on, the reader needs to prepare for a heart stopping read that will keep you on the edge of your seat! All manner of mayhem and murder break loose and unfortunately the most innocent of all get caught right in the center of the mess. Savannah must decide whether she can join forces with the reporter who has brought nothing but trouble in her life. Meanwhile, in spite of checking, double-checking and triple-checking all his facts prior to publishing his story, Glover is beginning to wonder IF there is a possibility he could have made a mistake. Truly a great suspense book! I was provided a complimentary copy of this book by Thomas Nelson Pubishers & NetGalley. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.
