New York Times–Bestselling Author: You can’t hurry love . . . “No other author manages to make us cry quite so achingly and laugh quite so hard.” —NPR
Millie Barnes is this close to finally achieving her perfect life. Rewarding job as a local doctor on Cape Cod? Check. Cute cottage of her very own? Check. Adorable dog suitable for walks past attractive locals? Check! All she needs is for golden boy and former crush—former intense, obsessive, years-long crush—Joe Carpenter to notice her, and Millie will be set.
But perfection isn’t as easy as it looks—especially when Sam Nickerson, a local policeman, is so distracting. He is definitely not part of her master plan. But maybe it’s time for Millie to make a new plan . . . .

Customer Reviews
Second time around
It is a good book. Good story but I hate it when they slap a new cover on a book and advertise it as new. I read this a couple of years ago and didn’t realize it was a reissue.
Seriously?
Sorry but I really need to get out of this crazy person’s head . . . I’ve already read more than I wanted hoping it would morph into something good . . . don’t see that happening.
Fools Rush In
The very first book of my favorite author. It didn’t disappoint. It had everything a reader could want in a book.
