Zu joined the Search and Protect security firm to atone for past mistakes, and he won't allow Ying Yue to be harmed on his watch. But as Zu falls for Ying Yue, his desire to build a future with her grows as strong as his need to protect her, and to do so he'll have to learn that she can take care of herself. An abrupt ending brings an unsatisfying close to the protagonists' romance, but fans will appreciate how far this series has come, now encompassing a diverse cast of emotionally intelligent characters. This smart, suspenseful novel is sure to please.
