Left wanting more
Though things seem to be good there’s more to the defenders than the recruits first saw. Raine and her friends have suspected something is wrong with the organization but when they find out the true extent it is beyond their worst imaginings. Now they have a new mission fix the broken system and save the people and the dragons. There is plenty of action and a bit of a rebellion led by Raine, Cobalt and Zel. Yet I feel as if there’s a bit of the story that’s missing. There’s hints that the trio suspect corruption and a couple glaringly obvious examples. But it’s a big leap from that to oh we’re going to destroy life as we know it. I think the story is good. But I also think it would benefit from some expansion. More details in general. I’m left with the feeling of wanting more.

***1/2 stars - This is the third and final book in the Dragon Duels. Raine and Cobalt are Dragon Defenders now at the White Tower. Raine cannot stop thinking about the dragon Fernell. Raine really wants to speak to Fernell again. She wants to understand what is going on with the dragons and why they only communicate with her. Fernell finally contacts her. The dragons need her help. Will she be able to help them? Can Raine and Cobalt go against everyone to rescue the dragons. What will happen if they are caught? Raine and Cobalt's relationship has slowly evolved. They have really connected. They are enjoying their budding love. Will Emmy and Zelda find happiness? Will they be able to be together? The ending seemed a little rushed. It leaves you wanting more. Overall it was a good story. Hopefully the next book planned on the Marriage Mart will tie up all the loose ends.
