From “the most popular mystery writer alive” (The New York Times), the twenty-seventh thrilling entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series isn’t just the biggest case of Stephanie Plum’s career. It’s the adventure of a lifetime.
When Stephanie’s beloved Grandma Mazur’s new husband died on their wedding night, the only thing he left her was a beat-up old easy chair…and the keys to a life-changing fortune.
But as Stephanie and Grandma Mazur search for Jimmy Rosolli’s treasure, they discover that they’re not the only ones on the hunt. Two dangerous enemies from the past stand in their way—along with a new adversary who’s even more formidable: Gabriela Rose, a dark-eyed beauty from Little Havana with a taste for designer clothes. She’s also a soldier of fortune, a gourmet cook, an expert in firearms and mixed martial arts—and someone who’s about to give Stephanie a real run for her money.
Stephanie may be in over her head, but she’s got two things that Gabriela doesn’t: an unbreakable bond with her family and a stubborn streak that will never let her quit.
She’ll need both to survive because this search for “fortune and glory” will turn into a desperate race against time with more on the line than ever before. Because even as she searches for the treasure and fights to protect her Grandma Mazur, her own deepest feelings will be tested—as Stephanie could finally be forced to choose between Joe Morelli and Ranger.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
The world’s most hapless but determined bounty hunter is tracking down a mob fortune with the help of her newly widowed grandma. The latest installment of Janet Evanovich’s beloved Stephanie Plum series involves the hunt for a family treasure. Naturally, Stephanie and her grandmother aren’t the only ones looking for the loot—and this wild adventure has everything we could want in a mystery, from explosive car chases to a nail-biting love triangle. We loved the way Stephanie’s chipper, can-do attitude always keeps things fun, even when the stakes are raised by kidnappings, mob hits, and a mysterious new mercenary—whom we’d love to see get her own series! With its terrifying moments, crazy exploits, and full-on laughs, Fortune and Glory is an entertaining ride you won’t want to get off.
Janet was back in business . This book was like old times.
Like all the Stephanie Plum books this was enjoyable, entertaining and fun. Nice to read a book that is not going to make you cry. And as always have to wonder which man will she “keep”
Stephanie is at it… again
Once more Stephanie, Lula, Ranger, Joe and Grandma are busy trying to solve the puzzle. This time the puzzle is a bit on the strange side. With a couple of new characters, a bit more home violence than we have seen before and a lot more Stef and Ranger intermingling, this is one of the best novels in the series. There are a few cons just no negatives, pardon my pun!!
