Freedom from Debt

Debt is an area in which many of us violate God’s clear instructions in the scriptures and find ourselves in financial bondage either through ignorance of the Bible’s teaching or willful disobedience because we are caught up in the ‘ if only syndrome’. We fail to realize that debt or borrowing is like a maze or quick sand! The more we get entangled in it, the more we get lost and sucked in deeper with no solution in sight. There comes a time when we begin to avoid the persons from whom we borrowed money, souring relationships or telling one lie after another just to cover up other lies. Debts not only affect the person who has borrowed but also his family. This is why we must understand the reasons, why the scriptures say that debt is wrong.
