Genesis Epoch 2

In Eden the world stood whole, ordered and good, and man and woman walked with God in open fellowship. Then one question was asked, one word of God was doubted, and everything changed.

The Fall and the Fracturing of Creation walks through Genesis 3, from the serpent's first words in the garden to the closing of Eden's gate. With the background, the setting and the people for whom Moses first wrote, the story is told in a natural, heartfelt way, close to the text and faithful to it.

Here the reader sees how sin begins in the heart that questions God's goodness, and how shame, fear and blame enter where there had been purity, peace and unity. Yet the chapter does not close in despair. In the midst of judgment God speaks a promise, and mercy is shown before the first exiles leave the garden. The book closes with reflection, application and a prayer.
