An Entertaining Follow Up
It’s hard not to tamp down expectations after loving the first book and knowing that this is a follow up.
I think I was even more reticent because this novel follows more than 20 years after the first ended. What a jump! But, I wasn’t disappointed. The characters matured but were unpredictable. Funny and still flawed. And very much themselves. Some of the characters from the first novel did indeed marry while others lives converged and merged and diverged.
I loved how the background of the Seattle area island life was woven into the storyline.

I was desperately looking for a summer read. I found the sweetest love story! So nice and refreshing to read a book about people from my generation..... So relatable and wow.... I love even cried at the end. Looking forward to the prequel this summer!!!
