Johnny & June
Johnny: ex-military that gets a medical discharge when he is too close to an IED. June: parents are in and out of jail and drug addicts in a small town and she is guilty by association. These two couldn’t be more different, but they are perfect for each other. He has a temper and a tendency to fly off the handles, she just wants to blend into the background. Johnny is so careful and sweet with June it made my heart melt. He went at her pace with the relationship.
This book deals with heartache and tragedy. Both of them are just trying to survive the best way that they can. Another smashing success by Lani Lynn Vale. I can’t wait for her next book!!
June & Johnny
Lani has another hit on her hands with this series and these characters she writes that is always so relatable. Johnny is a vet who was honorably discharged after an unfortunate incident. Once home he starts to feel smothered so his best friend offers him an alternative move to her town. He goes no expecting anything until he meets June. June is a great person with a good heart she just happens to come from not good parents and the town holds her responsible. Too bad Johnny has her in his sights and what he wants he gets and nobody better say anything. I truly adore the dynamic of each couples relationship in this fantastic series and can’t wait for more.
