Mark Nosrati ,

Awesome book for sales people!

Absolutely love this book. I've been to countless seminars and motivational speakers. I've heard about 90% of the content in this book and if you've been around the block you have probably heard them too. But never have I ever witness all of these important skills and tactics organized in such an effective process. This book is constructive, focused, and above all it delivers results! I've already started getting more out of life and can't wait to apply what I've learned in truly grand situations.

Practical. Human. Immediately Useful.

I’ve read many negotiation books over the years, but Getting More by Stuart Diamond is the one I’ve found most immediately actionable.

What sets this book apart is its practicality. This isn’t theory-heavy or built around rigid scripts. Instead, it’s grounded in real human behavior — how people actually think, feel, and make decisions. Diamond focuses on emotional perception, standards, incremental progress, and creative trades rather than confrontation or positional bargaining.

The framework is clear and adaptable. Whether you’re negotiating compensation, business partnerships, real estate, or even everyday personal decisions, the principles apply seamlessly. I’ve already implemented several of the strategies and seen tangible results.

What I especially appreciated is the emphasis on collaboration over dominance. The book teaches you how to ask for more while preserving relationships and building trust — a balance that is critical in long-term professional environments.

If you want a negotiation book that moves beyond theory and into real-world execution, this is it.

Highly recommended.

To quote of his reviewers “This book can change the world"

Phenomenal. This book is not just for business or sales people, it is for everyone. This book should be added to every high school and/or college reading lists. Stuart Diamond describes very rational, insightful ways to understand problems and resolve them. Every since I’ve started reading it, I find myself thinking about what the author would do to resolve a particular situation. From framing, trading items of unequal values, using incremental steps, finding what the real problem is, to meeting the needs of moderates to help fight terrorism…it all makes sense and everyone WILL benefit from reading this book.
