Set in the country of Middren—where gods live amongst humans, feeding off their prayers and offerings—the story revolves around Kissen, who lost her right leg, and her family, to sacrifice. That trauma has pushed her into becoming a godkiller, slaying every deity in her path…until the day she meets a god who’s a little different than the rest. We loved bopping between the novel’s diverse points of view, which include plenty of queer, feminist, and disabled perspectives. Kaner’s world-building is top-notch, especially when she’s describing the rules and methods for bringing down a god. In particular, fans of the Witcher series won’t want to miss this action-packed adventure.

Marvelous fantasy adventure story. Wow!
Trying too hard
I really enjoyed the premise but it seems like it’s trying too hard to be inclusive. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for that. But it was over the top. Like the author was trying too hard to get a Netflix series lol. Not worth $13. Wish I could get a refund.
Best storytelling I’ve seen in a long time.
Excellent character building, amazing world building. What a great ride! I can’t WAIT for the next book.
