Going, Going, Gone Volume One

This book contains a collection of poems and verse about a variety of extinct, rare, endangered, or threatened species of the Western Hemisphere. Always factual in content, they also appeal to the readers emotions and will. I hope they will be enjoyed by classroom teachers and their students, as well as family units, as they share the information found here and discover how to make a difference in the lives of so many creatures upon our planet.


Some poems were written for fourth to sixth grade reading levels and some for seventh to ninth grade reading levels. I have found that students younger than ten enjoy them
if they are read to them enthusiastically. There is also a "Toddler Time" section.
