Hard to Love

Ok this is a great series , This is book 2 and wow I can not wait for the next one ! Greer & Alex are from as dif back rounds as up and down , but they are drawn to each other like air to breath . He is looking for a job to make enough money to help his mom & brother, she wants HIM and does what she can to get him to hang around longer then was the plan. there are twists and turns in this book that have you hanging on till the end and excited to see whats next!

I'm a huge fan of Kelsey Browning and was so excited to read her newest book in her Prophecy of Love series early. I absolutely adored book one, A Love to Last, and have to say A Passion to Pursue was just as wonderful.

I was so excited Greer was getting her book next in the series. I really felt like she was at loose ends when she figured out she wasn't the right person to be the next prophecy bootmaker, and I wanted her to find her true purpose. While her brother Cal and Delaney, the new prophecy bootmaker have found where they fit, it was perfect timing for Greer to figure out where she fits into Prophecy.

Greer is one of the strongest and gutsiest heroines I've read in a long time. She knows what she wants and isn't really afraid to do what needs doing to get what she wants. She is at a crossroads in her life, as the different types of art she has been focusing on just really don't feed her passion any longer. However, when she comes up with the idea of a contest between the top 3 leather toolers to compete for the job with Prophecy Boot Company, it is her way to keep Alex Villanueva in town, and a way for her to find her passion in the arts again,

I absolutely loved the instant attraction between Greer and Alex. They had off the charts chemistry from the very first moment they met. While he had lots of baggage from his past that he used as a wall between him in the world, Greer had very little problem in knocking it down. I really wanted to give Alex a hug so many times as we learned more and more about his past. He made a mistake just as any other person could have done, except he let it effect the rest of his life. He was so worried about another person he loved getting hurt, he tried to push everyone away. Luckily for the reader, Greer was having none of that and even helped him connect with other residents of Prophecy.

A Passion to Pursue is perfect for readers who love an emotional and sexy romance. Kelsey Browning's voice pulls me in from the very first page. She took me on a roller coaster ride with my emotions and I feel like the romance was so much stronger for what Alex and Greer had to go through to finally be together. Not only did they both find their purpose for their careers, but with the friends, families, and each other.

I have so much love for A Passion to Pursue by Kelsey Browning it is hard to put into words. This is the second book in her Prophecy of Love series and Browning develops some amazing characters in Alex and Greer. There is so much depth in these characters and at the end of the story I found myself looking back how much they have grown and I have learned about them. The plot for in this story was quite interesting and really shaped Alex and Greer’s lives and relationship very well.

In A Passion to Pursue, we meet Alex, the new boy in town looking for a job with Prophecy Boot Company. We know Greer as the sister to Cal from A Love To Last. Greer is a bit free and wild always looking for the a way to make a difference and she sees something in Alex that can help her get there. Of course, she finds him hot as hell, too, which doesn’t hurt. Alex follows the dollar signs to Prophecy, Texas from Montana. While he grew up in Texas, some unfortunate situations in his life caused him to flee as far away as possible. Now he is back, trying to lay low, make some cash but finds himself at the center of Greer’s attention. Quite an amusing situation.

From the very beginning of the story you realize A Passion To Pursue is about two people finding themselves in each other. Finding their fit, their passion for what they want to do with their lives and how they can impact the community for Prophecy. The dialogue between Alex and Greer is phenomenal and was the highlight of the book for me. Their intimate scenes were not only very hot and filled with sizzling passion, but also humorous at times due to the dialogue that takes place. I really enjoyed how open Greer was with her feelings and Alex. She holds no grudges for arguments and Alex doesn’t always know what to do with Greer. I love her for it!

While A Passion To Pursue in general is an upbeat, positive romance, it can pack a punch emotionally. You will find yourself happy, sad, mad, turned on and blissfully satisfied at the end. You get it all. The ending to the story has quite a twist to it and is so perfect and feels just like the frosting on top of a delicious cake. Browning does a wonderful job with A Passion to Pursue and I can’t imagine Alex and Greer’s story playing out any more perfectly. I am also starting to really enjoy the whole prophecy boots premise of the series. I have never worn cowboy boots in my life but I would love some custom made ones now.
