Publisher Description
Falling for your boss is never a good idea. Falling for your handsome, alien billionaire boss is an even worse one…
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity takes Audrey out of her comfort zone and up to Devan Station, the new alien station in Earth's Orbit. She knows she'll be working with aliens… but is horrified to discover her new boss looks like an actual demon.
She soon learns that her boss, Utak, is not only an intellectual powerhouse but also a caring leader. When he rescues her from predatory aliens at a lavish ball, their connection deepens, and they give into the passion simmering between them…
He never believed in love at first sight, especially not with a human.
When his new human assistant arrived at Devan Station, everything changed for Utak. He tried to keep his distance, but her soft voice and bright smile broke down his walls. Utak's control snaps as he sees Audrey in danger from the K'ranii, a vicious species that considers consent irrelevant. He'll protect her with his life... and claim her as his own.
Everything was perfect, until his past caught up with him. His engagement to a Tavkronian woman was a business arrangement made by his father, but Audrey's discovery of the truth shattered their happiness.
Can he break free from his contract and win back Audrey's heart?

Is their relationship doomed before it can begin?
Her Alien Billionaire Boss is hopefully the beginning to a new series, but is connected vaguely to the Lathar world and stands alone. Audrey travels to outer space to become the assistant to a demon lookalike alien. Working closely together, neither can deny the chemistry that sizzles between them, but Utak is contracted to someone else. Is their relationship, and her job, doomed before it can truly start?
This was such a fun book to read. It was short, fast paced, steamy, but still full of some really good emotions! I really enjoyed Audrey and Utak together, both in and out of the boardroom, hehe, but I think what I really enjoyed was the clashing of the cultures. We’ve seen this in previous books from Ms. Carter, but this one really accentuated the differences between species and cultures and I was all for it! Audrey is so competent and I loved both her drive and her desire to know more about the cultures she worked with and what that meant for her boss’ company. Plus, I liked her passionate side! I enjoyed Utak’s character. He was torn between his heart and his company, and I wished he would have trusted Audrey with some important information, but all in all, I loved his protective and possessive nature when it came to Audrey. There was so much chemistry between them that you could practically cut it through the pages. I loved it! There was just enough drama to keep the book flowing well, but I really liked how everything played out in the end! So good! I really hope there will be more connected to this book!
Not looking for love, fate found them anyway…
For Mina’s sci-fi fans this Lathar adjacent tale has the same great storytelling I have come to appreciate. I love Audrey taking a job that really scares her to expand her horizons and her career. She is smart and learns much about the aliens on the station, but maybe she gets too confident. Her new boss looks devilish yet is a dream to work for until their mutual attraction becomes too hot to resist. While Audrey is afraid to risk her wonderful new life Utak is keeping secrets. When the brown stuff hits the fan can they find a way to be together?
Cute
Not as expected. Cute love story. Lacked excitement. Bordered on boring at times.
