As Ralph circled around and got closer to this lovely black-haired girl who looked bored now with the cock-pickings available around her, he briefly took a few deep breaths. Ralph’s gift starts off with a positively steamy situation, with wonderfully indulgent descriptions and a very interesting concept. However, what you might expect as a completely romantic novel turn out to be much more in reality. I did feel as though the title was a bit unfitting, but the title is not the most important aspect of a novel in any case. The most important, the most valuable part would be the action- the plot, and the descriptions, along with the flow of the language and the way the characters are created. Writing is a true art form- and Sandra Ross has mastered it in this novel. She has come up with a thrilling, unexpected plot, a promising batch of characters, and has carried out all of the twisting and turning events in a pulse-quickening demeanor by using a ton of intricate descriptions.
I think this is a truly great book- it lacks nothing in the aspect of language- it is very well, very professionally laid out and masterfully built to keep readers engaged. At first, it may not seem this way, but once the reader begins reading, they are surrounded by mind-blowing detail. As you read on, you will also get to explore more about the characters and if you keenly collect all of the information bits, you get a really good sense of who they are in their lives. That’s exactly how it should be with any good novel. Well done.
Amazing
Oh, my god! This story got me hooked straight from the beginning! I have to say something, and I need to be honest and quick about it – I'm kind of cautious when it comes to hot, steamy romance stories like this. I have read a lot that bore me to the highest degree, but this? This was amazing. Ralph and Alice's first meeting was shocking, like I'm not usually a fan of sexy scenes especially in the beginning of any erotica story because I kind of want the tension between the two lead characters build up slowly and surely but holy guacamole! That scene in the bar between them left me speechless. And the best part of it all is it's just the beginning!
What shocked me the most is the phone call scene. I didn't expect that to happen, like maybe they were really meant to meet in that club but little did they know there's something more to them than meets the eye. They were both complex characters, sure, but if you're meant to be, you're meant to be. I felt like I'm with them while they're having their unexpected adventures together. The twists and turns of the story will left you hanging and it will leave you craving for more. Ralph's Gift Part 1: Her Sad Eyes by Sandra Ross is really good. I can't wait to get my hands on the 2nd volume of this one of a kind novel. By the way, there's a surprise title preview at the end of the book and it's awesome! Can't wait to read the rest of her novels!
