One Moon Stand Gone Very, VERY Wrong…
“smexy-smexy romance, with enough twists and turns to KEEP you swiping”
—5-star Review
MAGNUS: Alright, alright, I’ll admit I’ve always been a player in more ways than one. What can I say? Human women love to cheer for me—on the rugby field and in my hotel room after my team, the Edinburgh Rovers have won.
But my player days are coming to an end. I need an heir—and fast—if I want to hang on to my title as King of the Scottish Wolves. I’ve already decided Tara Hamilton, my new sister-in-law’s best friend, will become my lucky queen. Just one snag in my plan, though…she feckin’ hates me.
All hope seems lost until I “happen” to run into her on a full moon night.
TARA: I have ZERO desire to serve as an incubator for that ridiculously arrogant Scottish Alpha King, Magnus Scotswolf…or have anything to do with his backwater kingdom village.
Listen, I value three things above all else: my freedom, my life among humans in Edinburgh, and my fabulous wardrobe. No way am I giving all that up for an entitled a-hole with a kilometer-long hit-it-and-quit-it list.
My human understands I will never, ever let the annoyingly handsome alpha anywhere near me. But there’s just one snag…my wolf hooked up with his wolf during the last full moon when neither of our humans were looking.
Now…I’m pregnant with the Scottish king’s baby. What will he do when he finds out I’m carrying his bairn…and discovers the HUGE secret about my hidden past?

A fun and sexy story!
really enjoyed this story, it was sexy, fun and full of surprises along the way!!
This is Magnus and Tara's story, an uneven match that worked so well for them. Magnus Scotswolf needs a heir asap to keep his rightful throne as a king and he has his eyes set on she-wolf Tara Hamilton unfortunately for him this she-wolf is not going to make things easy for him.
Tara values her independence the most and she refuses the bond with Magnus, it doesn't matter that this sexy wolf makes her hot all over or that he refuses to give up on her. Tara has very good reasons to salvage her independent way of life but when the electricity and explosion attraction between them its too much to avoid, all bets are off.
This was a fun audiobook to listened to and I can't wait to read or listen for more if this series.
Fun and campy
In general, I enjoyed this story. Magnus, the werewolf king (best name ever- so fitting) meets and falls for Tara who wants nothing to do with him, as she is against love, feeling like love is oppressive. There is plenty of chemistry but the story was campy at times and I have to admit, listening to the audiobook, the narration by Lacy Laurel was at times, very grating. Paired with Will Watts, who had the most glorious voice and accent and it was even more obvious that Lacy couldn't carry the accent. It ended up taking away a little from the story.
The story itself was fun and funny, with plenty of push and pull between the main characters and a well developed, interesting world that felt pretty original, given the idea of a rugby star being the king of the Scottish Wolves.
Opposites attract
3.5 stars
Book #2 in the Scottish Wolves series was definitely entertaining. Tara and Magnus were polar opposite’s, but their wolves couldn’t deny their mate bond. Although I understood Tara’s need to be an independent woman, her attitude bordered on whiny and became a little annoying. Their banter and chemistry was fun to read, and overall I enjoyed this book. The cliffhanger killed me though, and I’m eager to see what happens next!
Will Watt did a great job portraying Magnus. I liked Lacy Laurel as Tara, but I wasn’t fond of her Scottish accent.
