Sweet and savory
The characters are fun and easy to get to know. The story was entertaining and very enjoyable. It was a quick read and I never wanted it to end. The heat between them is scalding. Phew makes me want to plan a trip to Scotland.
Great beginning of series!
This was such a great start to this series! This grumpy boss has a lot more to him and I loved watching this story unfold. Millie was going through so much and it was amazing watching her figure out she didn’t have to do it alone. How this all played out was fantastic and I loved every minute of it. And I most definitely fell just as hard for Iain.
The audio brings this to another level
The story was so good on audio. I went in to this one blind and was pleasantly surprised by the turn of events. Every character flaw of the MMC is easily explained when we realize what is truly happening between Iain and Milly.
Samantha Brentmoor is a magician with her voice. I enjoyed listening to this book so much that once I started it, I didn’t stop listening until it was over. The narrator brought so much personality to each of character, including the supporting cast. I cannot wait to listen to the next book in the series!!
