Fell apart but required reading

In short too fantastical and several times I questioned the character's action as the did not seem to jive with the rest of the series and how the characters acted and reasoned in them, even taking into account normal personal development casing new character traits.

Still i am being overly critical in hopes of making the author the best he can be. The story by itself was a pleasant departure from what was getting to be a formula writing style.
