Unusual Foggy Beginning
I have read thousands of books over half a century and more, and this one has one of the more unusual and, indeed, confusing beginnings that I can recall. That is undoubtedly by intent, since the initial situation in which protagonist finds herself is certainly confusing and lacks typical definition. I enjoyed the progression of the characters and storyline beyond that point, although considerable confusion remains even at the end.
