Publisher Description
Over the course of his 60 years, Christopher Hitchens has been a citizen of both the United States and the United Kingdom. He has been both a socialist opposed to the war in Vietnam and a supporter of the U.S. war against Islamic extremism in Iraq. He has been both a foreign correspondent in some of the world's most dangerous places and a legendary bon vivant with an unquenchable thirst for alcohol and literature. He is a fervent atheist, raised as a Christian, by a mother whose Jewish heritage was not revealed to him until her suicide.
In other words, Christopher Hitchens contains multitudes. He sees all sides of an argument. And he believes the personal is political.
This is the story of his life, lived large.

My Mind Has Grown
I usually read fiction. After reading this beautifully written book, I realized I have been living fiction as well. I fell in love with Mr. Hitchens life. I wish I could write as well as this author. Then I could write the review he deserves.
Interesting insights & life
I have read Hitchens other great works like God is not Great and thus a look into his life was enlightening. If you enjoy the book watch the CNN AC360 interview to learn his outlook on life after being diagnosed with cancer.
A great man that has influenced the world for the better. He will be missed.
An amazing, and amusing, mind
Enjoyed this book immensely. Hitch was taken from us too soon, but I'm sure he is somewhere in the aether, writing and drinking and keeping an audience.
Shame on you iTunes for not having more of this brilliant man's work. (but you're working on it I hope... Yes?)
