Publisher Description
Welcome to a world where everything seems normal. At least, at first. But the sinister and truly terrifying lurk just beneath the surface. Like a bathtub with a history so haunted, no one dares get in it. . . or an ordinary-looking camera that does unspeakable things to its subjects. . .or a mysterious computer game that has terrible consequences if you lose. . . .
From the creator of the blockbuster Alex Rider Adventures and The Diamond Brothers Mysteries, Horowitz Horror is a wicked collection of macabre tales sure to send shivers up your spine.

Horowitz Horrors Review
To start off, I would like to say that I'm a relatively big fan Of Anthony Horowitz's work. I've read the entire Alex Rider series, and I've watched some episodes of the show Foyle's War (not all of the episodes, mind you) which Horowitz writes and his wife (Jill Green) produces. I think that Anthony Horowitz is an OK writer, but he is definitely not my favorite. I'd also like to add that I'm an American, so I might not be accustomed to the British culture or style of writing. Although, I just read a Doctor Who short story (gargantuan fan, by the way) and I thought it was quite smart and sophisticated, (or as the British put it, "clever") but it was definitely not the best book I have ever read. This book has twists and turns that you might not see coming, even though the book is ostensibly predictable. Most of the short stories in this book are predictable if you have a knack for mystery solving. I find most of Horowitz's books to be only superficially touching, and they never contain much emotion. But, if you are looking for a quick, light, easy read for Summer or any time of the year, this is the book for you!
