Even more heat than the first one!
You have to read the first one to fully appreciate this one even though it features different characters. Scott does a great job of bringing all the readers senses into the story so you feel like you’re at the race, smelling the burnout, the heat still lingering in the evening. You feel the low self worth from some of the characters and the struggles they go through. You root for them to get together & want to shake them when they have trouble finding their way. Scott brought more heat to this one, and its great. Even if you’re not into racing, you’ll get into the story.
