The first novel in the Iron Druid Chronicles—introducing a cool, new, funny urban fantasy hero

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old—when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer.

Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries. Now the determined deity has tracked him down, and Atticus will need all his power—plus the help of a seductive goddess of death, his vampire and werewolf team of attorneys, a bartender possessed by a Hindu witch, and some good old-fashioned luck of the Irish—to kick some Celtic arse and deliver himself from evil.

Amazing

This whole series is amazing. The writing style is great, the characters, the plot, everything.
Couldn’t put a single one of them down.

Well Rouded Opener

Overall the book was definitely great and what it lacked a little in imagination for the ending it more than made up for it with overall plot, humor, and characters. As the reader of hundreds of books of the genre even putting in the time to write this review shows something that I don’t usually get out of most books. Great job can’t wait to keep reading would definitely suggest as a read. Left a lot of loose ends easily could be incorporated in future books that I’m sure will hit me like “OOOOOOH THAT DID HAPPEN” anyways definitely worth a try in my opinion.

Honestly fun

I got this book just looking for a quick read. I was pleasantly surprised and how captivating the author made the story. I didn't wan't to put it down, and was required to have a charger for my phone around constantly.

I have purchased and read all the other Iron Druid chronicles books and read them all. Well worth the price and great to read over and over.
