How To Oil Paint

In this book, Beginner Series Book 1, we introduce the medium using the humble orange. Barb has found in her 25 years of teaching that by doing this simple shape as their first  project, a learner will gain an understanding of the fundamental points to painting in realism.

The second subject, two frangipanis, will move forward with different challenges, including a soft focus background. This technique shows how to use gentle shades for the background, which compliment the flowers where the more intricate work will be concentrated.
