Must read for those wanting to try again!
After getting back with my ex husband and unsure of if it could work, I stumbled upon this book and I wouldn’t say it made the decision for me, but it definitely gave me the confidence to know what was possible with hard work! I’ve never read a book so fast and there were certain parts I would screen shot and share with him. I think reading this and sharing relevant sections with him brought us closer too! Highly recommend if you’re looking to try again at a relationship that failed previously.
Err on the side of God doing the impossible.
I read this book in less than 24 hours. It's an amazing story of what God can do when we're following after His heart in marriage restoration. I've looked for confirmation that my hope and grace in our marriage is God's plan knowing for sure that it is. Yet Cheryl's answer to a question about why hang on was exactly what I needed to hear and matched my souls cry. "Err on the side of God doing the impossible. Pursue reconciliation." Indeed God is the greatest reconciler of all times. His grace extended to us from the cross proves to me that I can't outgive or outlove him and that includes love to my husband. I also started reading sacred marriage as recommended by the Scruggs and am looking forward to learning more about how God wants to change me in this process toward a restored marriage. Thanks Jeff & Cheryl. God bless you and your family more and more with whatever it takes to keep you in the place of wholeness.
Excellent story of hope and meaning
Their story so closely resembles that of many married couples. All too often we give up. Jeff and Cheryl help us realize we don't have to quit. There is a reason things happen, and I think it happened to Jeff and Cheryl to save my marriage.
