NATIONAL BESTSELLER • An empowering plan for living more by owning less, with practical suggestions and encouragement to personalize your own minimalist style—from the New York Times bestselling author of Uncluttered Faith
“If you’re struggling with too much stuff and too little happiness, here is your must-read.”—Peter Walsh, New York Times bestselling author of It’s All Too Much
Most of us own too much stuff. The toy room is messy, drawers won’t close, closets are overfilled, and we can’t fit our cars in the garage. Even worse, this constant accumulation of stuff slowly begins robbing us of life. It redirects our greatest passions and steals our greatest potential. And it distracts us from the very life we wish we were living.
One of today’s most influential minimalist advocates, Joshua Becker used to spend his days accumulating more and more. Then he realized how his possessions were not only failing to make him happy, but they were actually keeping him from the very things that do. In The More of Less, Joshua helps you…
• realize how all the stuff you own is keeping you from pursuing your dreams
• recognize why you buy more than you need
• discover greater contentment, less envy, and more joy
• experience the joys of generosity
• learn why the best part of minimalism isn’t a clean house; it’s a full life
It’s time to own your possessions instead of letting them own you. After all, the beauty of minimalism isn’t in what it takes away. It’s in what it gives.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Future generations may well view the present day in the U.S. as an era of acquisition, Becker writes, in which new cars and new electronic devices are pursued with a passion that can leave the purchaser with a hollow sense of unfulfillment. In this delightful little book, Becker considers the movement known as voluntary simplicity an effort to convince our consumerist society to scale down and find ways to be happier with fewer possessions and takes it a step further, incorporating Christian spirituality into minimalism: a way of shedding the excess in our lives and "finding freedom to pursue the things that matter most to you." Friends, family, and faith all factor into his unique approach to getting rid of the possessions that weigh one down, opening new avenues of meaningful exploration into the deeper, more sacred depths of being. With action plans, lists, and appeals to the reader's quiet nature, Becker successfully presents a well-rounded argument that a journey toward minimalism is possible and even enjoyable. Any Christian seeking the path of material simplicity will find this volume both valuable and informative.

The Best
Joshua Becker is the voice to follow on Minimalism. This is the book that I started my journey on and I couldn’t be happier with
how my life has changed! Thank you Joshua!!
Centered around religion.
The minimalism focused parts of the book are great, but the religious parts are nonsense like all religion is.
