CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

This Compendium of Religious Works has the purpose of instructing and reaffirming our religious beliefs and, above all, delving into the fundamental elements by which we profess our Faith.


The First Communion has as its purpose the education in the faith of children, young people and adults that includes a teaching of Christian doctrine.

This catechism aims to present an organic and synthetic exposition of the essential and fundamental contents of the Catholic doctrine, both on faith and on morals, in the light of the Second Vatican Council and the whole of the Tradition of the Church. Its main sources are the Sacred Scripture, the Holy Fathers, the Liturgy and the Magisterium of the Church. It is intended to serve "as a point of reference for catechisms or compendiums that are composed in different countries" (Synod of Bishops 1985. Final Relation II B A 4).


It also contains The Rosary of Mary and The New Testament of the Bible of the People of God, the LAETAMUR MAGNOPERE APOSTOLIC LETTER and the FIDEI DEPOSITUM APOSTOLIC CONSTIT
