A Cowboy's Holiday

I'd love to be romanced by Pete. I like Taryn, she is very independent and hard working but about as skittish as her horses can be, when it comes to romance. I really like Pete, he has a very calm and collective personality yet he is very resourceful, romantic and patient. The McGavin family circle is always a supportive and heartwarming group and it's always such a joy to read about and bask in the warm of their outpouring of happiness to all they come in contact with. I love this series and this author because regardless of the realistic issues the couples/families go through her books always give that warmth of happiness...guaranteed feel good that's why I love to read romance and she always brings it.

Taryn and Pete are a fun couple as their attraction grows. They are so in sync, the woman from San Francisco and the veteran rancher. She's full of enthusiasm and ideas for the guest ranch he's helping her build. He's impressed by her tireless work ethic, fearless way she rolls up her sleeves to muck stalls and the way she takes to ranch life and fits seamlessly with his family.
He loves that her hair matches that if his horse, Clifford, and the way she makes his heart pound and the rest if him ache for a simple touch.
She's afraid to mess up the perfect working relationship. She needs him for her business. She wants him, but a past relationship mistake leaves her wary of serious entanglements.
This pair is sweet and have a few scorching kisses, then more when a blizzard blows in sooner than expected.
VLT really knows how to write cowboys, or at least our fantasy one, as well as heartwarming families with real hangups, hardships, baggage and other experiences that make life worth the effort. This McGavin/Sawyer clan is an awesome example of all if those and so much more.
