Kids, Cats, And Kidneys

Imagine being a child who’s recently learned a kidney transplant is in the near future. We expect there are few situations more worrisome and stressful. Fortunately, we work in a veterinary teaching hospital where one of us specializes in kidney transplants in cats with chronic renal disease and medical illustrators with the artistic skills needed to make complex medical procedures understandable are nearby. Together we’ve created this interactive book using a cat as a gentle way to introduce kidney transplantation to children.
