Captivating ending
It took so long to get into the book, main reason i gave three stars. Once i got into it (20% of the way through the book), i couldn’t set it down!
Delicious
Hunting Wives is a fabulous read. It’s boozy, catty and high drama. The protagonist is sympathetic yet so self destructive she’s maddening and that’s the point. The author captures the atmosphere of the sweltering south and the lifestyles of the wealthy as they romp around destroying their lives. Biggest flaw - everyone believes Sophie is guilty of murder and she decides against hiring a lawyer for no reason. But it’s still great and I’d love a Part 2. BTW: did not watch beyond first 5 min of show. Didn’t track.
The show is way better .
In the book she mentions her Toyota Highlander constantly. And she does a-lot of rambling . This woman is 36 and never had a h*e phase and decided to try it at 36 with high schoolers. I was only interested in reading the book bc the show was so good, and usually the book is better than the show but not in this case. The show has more depth and plot twists.
