Star Wars: The Nihil Strike Back!
This review will be very short, because if I start writing about the book, I'll be inclined to spoil things, and that goes against my policy. I'll let my rating speak for itself, and merely add that the one thing which sets this series apart from so many other Star Wars novels is that no one is safe. There is no plot armor. Initially, I wanted the authors to give us a key group of characters to really sink our teeth into—a Luke, Han and Leia, if you will—but now, I understand why they didn't. I have my own key characters in whom I've invested, and if you're enjoying the series, I'm sure you have yours, and they may be different from mine, but no less important. And none of these characters have plot armor! I've heard this is the end of the "first wave" of the High Republic series. New authors will be added going forward. If this is true, as much as I look forward to any new characters who come our way, I hope this isn't the last we see of our new friends we've come to know and love and rejoice with and grieve with so far. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
