Really well written with a great plot and superb character development. Terrific follow up for anyone who remembers Presumed Innocent. The affection of Sandy Stern the Argentinian Alejandro Stern is so well done. You can almost hear his accent.
Hard to beat the story and the characters.
Sandy Stern deserved better
A wonderful character, introduced to us in “Presumed Innocent,” Sandy Stern deserved better than this absolute horror story where no kind of indignity seemed off limits to the writer. I can only wonder who Sandy was based on and what that individual did to make Scott Turow hate him so much.
Now I get to watch the train wreck that is Apple TV’s version of “Presumed Innocent” sans Sandy Stern, fortunately I guess, and wonder why I’ve wasted this much of my life. At least I can pass on Season 2!

Love Turow, but couldn’t wait till this book was finished!
Like watching a puddle dry up.
If it wasn’t for his beautiful prose, I would have walked away.
