Show Me the Way
TC Matson brings us an all new small town, grumpy sunshine standalone love story.
“When I look at you, I see someone whose storm made them bend, but never break. When I look at me, I am the storm.”
Eight years of marriage and a beautiful son didn’t stop my husband from walking out on us.
He got the house, all the money, and a girlfriend.
I got the SUV, a few boxes of things, and our son.
I’m starting over and it’s terrifying.
A new town. A new job. A new home.
My goal is to care for my son and give him a semblance of normality while I pick up my broken pieces and mend my shattered self-esteem.
The last thing I expected was for my tattoo-covered landlord to nestle his way into my heart.
He’s broody and quiet, all grunts and head nods.
Letting him close means opening myself back up to the potential of getting hurt.
I’ve got my son to think about.
So why do I lie in bed at night thinking of him?
My demons haunt me. They run through my veins.
I accepted long ago that my life will never have a happy ending.
My gray world will never have any color.
The strong, single mother with eyes the color of sapphire gems.
All the colors in her world shine a light into my damaged and broken soul.
But I’m incapable of giving her love and affection—all the things she deserves.
My secrets will have her running away.
However, that doesn’t stop me from wanting to stain her world with my darkness.
Taint it with gray.
Little do I know, she’s the very air I didn’t know I needed.
Author’s Note: A recently divorced single mother meets a grumpy, broody, tattooed man with a damaged soul who doesn’t believe in happy ever afters. This is a story about finding love after trauma.
Show Me the Way is a steamy, page-turning, emotional roller coaster that will tug at your heart, make you grab the tissues while delivering an HEA!
Callen stole not only the show, but also my heart from page one. This big hearted hero, with his quiet, almost grumpy, demeanor, was so easy to love. Not just for the reader, but also for single mother, Morgan and her adorable son, Colby.
Morgan is coming off an extremely emotionally scarring divorce, so she’s wary of her new landlord/contractor. But there’s no denying their chemistry. And the way Callen is with Colby…swoon!!
Show Mw The Way gets 5 very enthusiastic stars from me!
Grab your tissues!
5 AH-MAZING Stars!!
Show Me the Way is book one in TC Matson’s brand new Worth the Wait series and seriously checks off all of my favorite tropes.
Morgan and her adorable three year old son, Colby, are starting over from scratch, other than the few items she could pack up in the ten minutes she was allowed inside her former home. Determined to start fresh and live their best lives, they move in with her brother until she can get a job and get back on her feet. Fast forward a few months and she finally finds their perfect home rented to her by none other than Mr. Grumpy with all the tattoos.
Callen.. my sweet, broken Callen. I seriously just wanted to reach through my kindle and hug that man stupid lol. My heart broke and made my eyes leak a bit when reading about his past and why he feels so undeserving of love. This man had the biggest heart and I just loved everything about him. Especially his relationship with Colby. Seriously, your ovaries will explode! POOF!
Matson’s writing is impeccable with how she unfolded their stories and meshed their lives together. I know I’ve read a great book when I find myself lost in the author’s words and can place myself in their story. I absolutely loved everything with this story and I cannot wait for more in this series!
