Crime never goes on holiday. Why should Irma?
Retired spy Irma Abercrombie's one weakness is her love of Christmas, but when a young friend asks for help with a financial disaster, her holiday spirit suffers a setback. Can Irma—a woman with a penchant for strong tea, cardio, and a well-oiled gun—find a thief before the festive season kicks off, or will her perfect Christmas be ruined?
A great fit for readers of Jesse Q Sutanto's Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers, Deanna Raybourn's Killers of a Certain Age, and Jana Deleon's Miss Fortune series.
Peace on Earth is a 30,000 word Irma Saves Christmas holiday novella, and is a spinoff of of the Beaver Island mystery series. Book #2, Joy to the World, is now available!
Customer Reviews
A very pleasant read
Looking back, had I known what this story was all about, I most likely never have read it. That would have been a mistake. The story roles along pleasantly and quickly.
Peace on Earth
A fun, pleasant story that made you feel as though it were Christmas and you were out in the snow. Well-written, only error was that winter solstice is the longest night of the year, not the shortest. A most fun character.
Pure Fun
Perfect Christmas reading…entertaining & not full of Christmas schmaltz :)
