APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Robert Langdon’s romantic trip to Prague quickly turns dangerous in Dan Brown’s return to the mystery series that made his name. Dr. Katherine Solomon, Langdon’s longtime colleague and new girlfriend, may hold the key to human consciousness in her new book. Her revelations are earth-shattering, but there are nefarious forces who will stop at nothing to discredit or silence her. Brown packs this page-turning adventure full of his signature historical asides as Langdon races through the magical Czech city in search of his missing lover. Brown’s descriptive prose turns the iconic setting into one of the book’s most fascinating characters. He beautifully blends history, mysticism, and pulsing action as Professor Langdon scrambles to piece together arcane puzzles and uncover the shadowy players threatening to delete Dr. Solomon and her remarkable research. Solid
Solid. 3.5 stars, but I enjoyed the first half so much, I’m rounding up.
I thought it lost narrative steam in the second half and just didn’t quite deliver si hoped, but still it was entertaining and has sold neat ideas.
The Secret of Secrets
Good read! Dan Brown always keeps the reader interested!
Unpredictable and Impossible to Put Down
This book had me hooked the entire way through. Every time I thought I knew where the story was headed, it surprised me with a new twist. Dan Brown has always been one of my favorite authors for the way he blends creativity with fascinating truths and historical facts you don’t usually think about. Although he doesn’t publish as often as other writers, it’s easy to appreciate why as his books are clearly the result of deep research and thoughtful storytelling. I’m already looking forward to the movie adaptation and hope it’s in production right now.
