Publisher Description
Little Women is Louisa May Alcott’s enduring classic about love, growth, and the unbreakable bonds of family. Set in New England during the American Civil War, the novel follows the lives of the four March sisters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy—as they navigate the journey from childhood to womanhood.
Each sister faces her own personal trials and triumphs, from artistic ambition and first love to hardship and loss. At the heart of the story is Jo March, an independent-minded aspiring writer whose courage and integrity have inspired readers for generations.
Rich in character, warmth, and timeless wisdom, Little Women is both a heartfelt family saga and a powerful portrait of growing up, sisterhood, and female independence. It remains one of the most beloved works of American literature.
