The Hitwoman and the Missing Gun

As a general rule, professional assassins should give law enforcement a wide berth.

Apparently, Maggie Lee has not gotten that memo.

When she's grudgingly recruited to help prove that a shooting involving Detective Brian Griswold was justified, she finds herself running interference between retired US Marshal Lawrence Griswald, who is intent on proving his nephew’s innocence and an Internal Affairs investigator who seems to be more interested in a vendetta than discovering the truth.

Throw in a pair of skittish witnesses (one of whom has four legs) and the flirtatious Detective Patrick Mulligan, and Maggie has her hands full.

And that’s without the family drama that’s driving her crazy.

Can Maggie find the evidence to clear Brian, or will she end up joining him behind bars?
