If You Dare

I was screaming "YESSSSS" before I even read this book! Deanna's story continuing....you have to read this if you have read the first two!
Again it keeps going soon after Book 2. You could read it as a standalone, but I would think you would miss out on too much of the characters buildups for this book to be as enjoyable.
After book 2 taking such a different turn than book 1 you think where can this story go now?
Ya, its best not to even question Torre at this point, she is going to deliver! She wouldn't know how to give us a subpar story at this point.
That said, I was guessing at every turn in this book. I wanted it to go one way, but this being a Deanna story line, we have learned anything could happen.
So many unexpected things do happen in his book. Good and bad.
Once again I hope to see the story continue after this one.
One thing Torre does at the end of all 3 of these books, she leaves it without a cliffhanger, so your not sitting and waiting for the next book. Well you are waiting and hoping there is a next book, but it's not in the angsty way where you are left unsatisfied.
No she builds up the story, then has an amazing "Holly Fricken Amazing" ending! That can either be the last of these characters, or she can continue with the next chapter in the characters lives.
And here is hoping Deanna isn't done with us yet!

Broken into two parts If You Dare begins with Deanna on the floor of her apartment unable to remember the events that took place the night before.
The chapters jump back and forth between the past and present. In the present detectives are working a case against Deanna. In the past we are recapping the events that led to the night where Deanna woke up in the floor of her apartment.
The stories told from Deanna's POV. Several new characters are introduced mostly in the legal field.
In part one we are retracing our steps to unlock the clues that led to the arrest of Deanna. Deanna tries desperately to figure out the events that led to her waking up on the floor of her apartment with a broken nose and unable to locate Jeremy.
This story is suspenseful, full of investigation and detective work. Deanna's world has changed from three years ago when she used to follow the rules. Rules created to protect her from killing people. Three rules: don't leave the apartment, don't let anyone in, and don't kill. All three rules were broken when Deanna discovered through her web-cam that there are people out there more evil than her.
Deanna's character takes the word damaged or broken into a whole new level. A psychotic personality contains a smart and ingenious mind.
Every scenario carefully orchestrated. You can tell Alessandra did some investigating and research to plot this story. It moves effortlessly into action plotting out Deanna's situation.
Have you ever known a character or read a story where a character craved for freedom? This story will blow your mind at the events that took place for Deanna to reach freedom. Deanna sought freedom in the name of normalcy not a feat easily achieved by a person who is a killer.
Alessandra leaves the story open to interpretation. There is a possibility for more later if the voices continue to scream at her to share their story.

The development of Deanna/Jessica was amazing. The author made a unbelievable character come to life. I was sucked into her world like Jeremy, l was in love.
