Not as good as the anime
The characterization of the characters are so lame. The main character is a serious pushover- not just from his fiancés, but all the other rulers. It’s not that he lacks strength, it’s that he lacks base knowledge to stand his ground about other important matters. He’s basically entrapped into doing everything for everyone and taking care of everyone’s problems. It’s beyond annoying and detracts from what makes the storyline good.
I got through 1.5 books after watching the animation and it is nowhere near as entertaining as the anime- here
you see how often he is easily bowled over to cave into other peoples whims.
